  Teradata associates with Hunt Partners to appoint Managing Director, India

Incorporated in July 1979 in California, NYSE listed Teradata is a leading player in data warehousing solutions, analytic data platforms, marketing applications and consulting services. The company recently announced full-year revenue of $2,732 million, up by 1 percent. Apart from global clients, Teradata India renders services to domestic clients across sectors such as government, utilities and retail. Teradata India’s current employee strength of around 1600 is set to expand with companyinvesting $35 million to establish a new development centre; it’s third one in India to meet the increasing global demand of Big Data services and solutions. According to a recent survey by McKinsey Global Institute, US will face a lack of about 190,000 data scientists and 1.5 million managers and analysts by 2018. 

Hunt Partners helped rope in Sunil Jose, for the position of Managing Director at Teradata India. Sunil brings with him over 2 decades of global IT industry experience – managing business and countrywide operations, leading strategic, sales and marketing initiatives. He began his corporate career with HCL as Sales Executive in 1990 moving onto Key Information Technology, UAE in 1991 as Senior Sales Executive. In 1996 he joined American Power Conversion (Schneider Group) as Country Marketing and Communications Manager. In 2000 he joined IBM Software Group and worked at various key positions till 2008, when he joined Sybase Inc as Managing Director, India & South East Asia. In 2010 he joined Oracle India as Vice President – Applications where he was responsible for managing its business operations, overseeing license sales, product management and sales consulting.
